The Problem
In 2012, Utmost (then Generali) faced the challenge of how to make sure that their global network of intermediaries had access to produce jurisdiction-compliant new business quotations.
Traditional media used up that point had become difficult and expensive to manage but the key calculations that needed to be reproduced to project investment values were highly complex and nigh-on impossible to reproduce in anything other than a completely bespoke application. Looking for a way forward without crippling costs, Utmost approached Submarine to reverse engineer the existing actuarial calculations into a web application.
Complex financial projections with global cross-jurisdictional challenges
The Solution
Submarine, working directly with sales and actuarial staff, was able to produce a completely bespoke platform which handles investment value projections for several complex products.
The platform has continued to evolve and adapt over the intervening years with new products and jurisdictions and language options coming online.
Spin-off client facing products have also been added built on the same platform and constant feature enhancements have kept the system current and able to integrate with in-house systems.
Hosted in a variety of locations, jointly managed by Submarine and Utmost staff the system continues to drive IFA sales by providing compliant PDF investment projections as part of the onboarding process.
